Executive Flight Training

Raleigh Executive Jetport (KTTA), Sanford, NC

our flight school

Our number one service is flight training where we provide a gateway into the amazing world of general aviation through primary flight instruction. We offer the private pilot's certificate, recreational pilot's certificate, instrument rating, commercial certificate (for owners of complex aircraft), multi engine rating (for multi engine owners only), flight instructor training, and a complete offering of recurrent training. Ground schools are also available.

Discovery Flight

If you are considering getting your pilot's certificate or would like to give the gift of flight to a friend or loved one, please consider scheduling a Discovery Flight with us. The Discovery Flight is a fun way to experience an actual flight lesson and learn more about flying and becoming a pilot. The actual lesson includes approximately 30 minutes of ground instruction where we review the fundamentals of flight, airplane systems and perform the aircraft preflight inspection. Next, we will fly a fun 30 minute flight lesson with you at the controls. The cost for a discovery flight is $119.

Private Pilot certificate

Private Pilots can fly an airplane and carry passengers during the day or night as well make "cross-country" flights to other airports. Private Pilots can also share operating expenses equally with passengers but they may not fly for "compensation or hire." The training for a private pilot certificate includes a minimum of 40 hours of flight time and instruction, a knowledge test, and a flight test with an examiner.

Recreational Pilot certificate

For some people, the recreational certificate is the best option for entry into the world of aviation.  While there are more restrictions on when and where a recreational pilot can fly, you can earn your certificate in less time, making it more affordable.

Instrument Rating

Instrument rated pilots can safely fly by reference to instruments alone as would be required when clouds are present and or visibility conditions are poor. The Instrument rating greatly extends your ability to fly and adds an element of safety and professionalism to any cross country flight.

Commercial Certificate

For those interested in turning their love of aviation into a career, the commercial certificate is the first real step towards that goal.  The commercial certificate is the next step towards a career as a professional pilot.

Certificated Flight Instructor

Want to share your love of aviation with others?  Teach others to fly by becoming a certificated flight instructor.  EFTS instructors will not only teach you the flying skills you will need, but will also train you to be an effective instructor.  You'll get the credentials to begin to set your own students on their path to aviation success.

Recurrent Training

The recurrent training options are available to private and or instrument pilots. We offer Flight Reviews, Instrument Proficiency Checks and WINGS credits.
